Construction/System Housing:
The body of the unit shall be a standard double skin construction with 0.6mm of pre-coated GI and 0.6mm plain GI, filled with CFC free PUF density between 32 to 40 kg / cu.m. All heat exchanger housing components will be of 20 gauge CRCA duly coated with electrostatic polyester epoxy powder or constructed out of SS as per the requirement. . All fasteners will be corrosion resistant. Mounting rails will be provided in order to secure the unit. Accessibility will be provided to all service areas.
Sensible Cooling Heat Exchanger:
This forms the core of the technology. This proprietary heat exchanger (patent pending), is a cross flow heat exchanger that effects sensible cooling of air. The sensible cooling module provides efficiency of over 65% of wet bulb depression of ambient air (primary air). It is made of non-corrosive, , non-biodegradable, bacteria static polymer substrate. The heat exchanger is surface treated to enable it maintain a thin film of water on the alternate channels. The surface geometry shall create necessary turbulence for achieving efficiencies exceeding 80% in the wet (secondary path) section.
Adiabatic/Evaporative Cooling Module:
The cooling module consists of suitable media made out of cellulose material suitably impregnated with resins of non-rotting, bacteria-free and hydrophilic surface. The surface area shall be in excess of 300 sq.ft. per cubic foot for achieving 90% efficiency.
Fans/Blowers:
The fans/blowers will be energy efficient low speed centrifugal, forward curve/ backward curved/ aerofoil design, double inlet and belt driven type. The motor shall be totally enclosed and suitable for operation on 440 Volts 3 Phase 50 hz AC supply and rated for continuous duty.
Pumps:
The pumps will be three-phase centrifugal pumps, capable of pumping with required head to distribute across the Ambiators. Water will be carried through an insulated piping system. A stand by pump would be provided.
Water System:
The water tank will be fabricated out of 1.6 mm thick CRCA sheet and duly painted with powder paint or made out of SS as per requirement. The tank will have provision for pump suction fittings overflow and make-up inlet fittings with quick filling valve attachment in addition to water level control.
All water piping shall be galvanized / PVC pipe, with necessary fittings such as bends, elbows & trees. The piping shall be supported with the help of MS rods, angles, etc as required, inside the cabinet.
Filters:
Ambiators are offered with different levels of air filtration. Typically air is filtered up to 20/10 microns. Typically these are panel type filters. Based on customer requirements, a second stage of panel filters for 5 micron filtration is provided. For demanding applications, HEPA filters are provided for filtration to 0.3 microns level. HEPA filters are typically at the delivery/discharge end.
Control Panel:
A micro controller based control system with required electrical elements including DOL /Star Delta starter as required, MCB’s, OLP’s, potential free contacts for BMS/PLC integration are provided.
Rating:
System ratings are based on test conditions as specified by ASHRAE 143.
